Hope Walks

Hope Walks engages the hearts and minds of our children and communities to help other children around the world. Through Hope Walks, we bring hope to orphans who, like children everywhere, need care and love and a secure future.

Hope Walks provides education in the U.S. for all ages, preschool through adults, to learn how to help orphans and vulnerable children in the world who struggle daily to live and grow. Education inspires individuals to raise funds and participate in a Hope Walks event.

We work with small, grassroots orphan care programs in resource poor countries who are dedicated to providing for the orphans and vulnerable children in their community but who lack the necessary funding and training to administer that care. Hope Walks supports their financial needs through a fundraising walk event, and their training needs by establishing long term relationships with these care organizations.

In the U.S., Hope Walks seeks partnerships with organizations, individuals, and companies who share an understanding for the ongoing needs of orphans and vulnerable children in resource poor countries and wish to participate in their support.

There are 15 million orphans worldwide due to the HIV epidemic. Each day, 6,100 children are added to that number. Less than 10% of orphans requiring treatment for HIV receive it.

We have held over 12 walks in different locations across the U.S., involving over 5,000 walkers and raising over $450,000 in proceeds. Support from Hope Walks has impacted more than 1,800 children in 9 orphan programs in 8 countries - Uganda, D.R. Congo, India, Cambodia, South Africa, Kenya, Dominican Republic and Liberia. As the number of walks increases we anticipate adding more orphan programs.
